This hand got beat with an ugly stick past 5th
Anyone fold this on sixth? Stars 2/4 stud players love nothing more than to defend their bring-in regardless of cards, so I wasn't fully convinced he had a boat after sixth with split fours or something.
Studz had been a little loose and made some poor river calls with mediocre hands, but generally knew what was he was doing. Peter was terribly terribly passive (check/calling open queens on fifth to others rag boards), so I wasn't worried about him in the hand.
And yes, I know one of my nines was dead on third, I raised because I wanted to thin the field. I do better against less players with these types of hands. Turns out my hand would've been third best at the river.

Good lay down here Ham. I am not sure of too many people who would have laid off of that hand. Most would have followed it down to 7th street and probably turned the corner with it...
...even took it on the parade route before realizing they were 3rd best hand...
. Excellent job.
