Top 2 pair, sick action

Postby Ciso_B » Sat May 23, 2009 8:43 pm GMT

When I got check raised there, i thought to myself, crikey. That doesn't look like 7s and 8s ,or some two pair hand with the co-ordinated board :(. However, the person had 5k total or so, so i said to myself, well , i might be beat here, but my hand is too strong vs just a c/r to fold. What I ll do is , take the c/r and stack to any card which isnt a 6,9,J. Then opponent who flatted shoves and sb goes too...Fold?

I dunno if it's going to make a difference in a $10 mtt but...

You get check raised by the SB, the original dude calls and then comes over the top after the check raise.

The fact that there are two people in this pot both showing monster strength, you have invested less than 10% of your stack, I would just fold. You still have a very workable stack and I just can't see how top two is good here. Yeah I guess there will be times where some numpty has AT/T9 and the other has 78 but I don't think that will be often enough to ship it in here and this be a profitable move for you.

It's $10 mtt tho so who f*cking knows? I'd prolly just fold.

One/both of J9 and 96 are out there often enough to let this go. I'd be stunned if you walked into an unraised 77/88/TT in a $10 MTT.

mr check raise had TJsuited. (So my logic was correct, getting it in on any non 6.9.J turn.)

The shover had Q9 os.Hit Q on turn and beat the other guy.

I folded this one yeh.

i think its close but id prolly ship it in here bc u have a chance to get a huge stack, + its a 10$ donkament they could have anything at least i think.

also bet bigger on the flop and calling is not a good option
