Villain is new to the table. I had a really hard time with this one, feels like i'm either way ahead AK/AJ/KQ/QJ/KT or way behind 66/KK/JJ/flopped flush.

It plays like either A
x or maybe AQ with a heart and the gutshot. But i would imagine a set is very unlikely as they would probably be raising to shut down the flushes.
Definatly want to bet the river, i think a thin value bet is best. I know theory says we should check here because we'e only getting called by a hand that beats us but i think we can get a little value from a fish with QK, AJ etc I dont think we can really check because it might look like we have a busted draw and would encourage them to take a shot at the pot and i dont really want to have to make any big calls because its just as likely the nuts in this spot.
Im quite drunk so ill re-think in the morning

Bet more on the flop.
As played either a bet or check is fine here, depends whether u think he'll fire a bluff and how much of the time he has something without SD value. You can safely bet/fold the river though too.

That induces a bluff pretty effectively and prevents us from getting raised. I think this is probably our best option here.
I don't think we're missing a lot of value by not betting, especially since we're never getting called by Ace high with the [Ah], but we might induce a bluff from that hand.

So your plan is to bet and fold to a raise? I really don't like the idea of that, given that we stand to lose money anyway by check/calling a better hand, and this gives him a great opportunity to bluff us if we was waiting for a non-heart.
Bet = get called by a few weaker hands, always get called/raised by a better hand, and occasionally get bluffed.
Check = induce some weak hands to bluff, saves us from getting raised by a flush or set.

Now I see we still didn't consider villain's stack size/pot ratio: the pot is about 6$, villain has 7$ remaining.
I would "normally" prefere check/call, but now we can't be raised much, so the fold to re-raise is out of question. Now even the push can be considered (as well as check/call still; we might save a few bucks if we are beat and villain value bets).
