Toronto Holdem Tourneys & Cash Games Often

Postby Tyler » Fri Aug 27, 2004 1:43 pm GMT

I am involved with a group of people who play holdem almost daily. We play tourneys mainly, but will play cash games if need be. There are about 10 of us, and we usually buy in for $10 sometimes up to $20. We are located basically right at Spadina and Bloor. We will be playing all year long so feel free to join in at anytime.
All ages welcome - we are students at U of T and range from 19 - 25 currently, but older people are definately welcome.
Contact me (Tyler) by email (leaffan30@hotmail.com) add me to msn? same address - or call 416 805 6367.

Tyler, I am also a poker player in that area and would be very interested in playing your tournaments and cash games. I was wondering what the level of difficulty is in your games... are you guys good players, intermediates...?

Level of Difficulty

Postby Tyler » Sat Aug 28, 2004 8:47 pm GMT

To answer your question our level of difficulty is varies a lot. From the people I play regularily with i would have to say intermediate is accurate. There are some who will play any two cards that are suited and don't understand the basics. There are also a bunch of people who are responding to my posts that I have no idea about. You will not find anyone that would be considered amazing, mainly average. However, the point of this club is also to learn and develop so we all should get better.

As long as you know the basics you won't be out smarted or out played; we all play to win though.
