Postby Ciso_B » Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:00 am GMT

We defo folding ? Or any other preferred line?

To protect my hand, K pairing a 2nd time is obviously good for me too. Granted he might play TT-AA (bet flop/c/c turn), but even more often he will have a hand that can't beat 9s but has what..6 outs to beat me.

In the past I've been victim of always checking back and making a decision on river , but I can end hand here on turn alot and also, FEW players in low stakes tourneys have the bottle to c/r all in bluff on turn here , so it accomplishes what I set out to do. Also, If an TT-AA hand checks turn here, and calls turn, he ll prolly check river aswell...at which point I'll most likely check back and show 9s down...

Were I check back turn with 9s, those hands will most likely value bet river...more then 11.6k?

What happened tho surprised me, cos those hands that c/c turn dont shove river, which made me stop and think did he just go crazy with some weird 67 , but since i call pf, called flop and bet turn vs an ep open, he surely has 9-9 beat.

Side note-
I did actually FT this one, 8th though :(.

I don't mind betting the turn here or checking back. I think the bet size is too small though. I think that if you did actually have the K then you are more likely to charge a bit more than less than 1/2 the pot. I think you are kind of playing your hand a bit face up.

The reason I don't mind the check back is because there are no real draws on the board he can have. Overs to your 9's yes but they have to hit and if they do, he might not bet them anyway because he is afraid of the K. At small stakes donkaments I doubt they understand the concept of thin value. It's more like "WTFOMG THERE IS A K THERE I WILL CHECK"

And if he does value bet me then it will be probably for the same amount that I would personally have bet on the turn. You can also induce bluffs with hands he was just going to check fold on the turn too. In fact the more I think about it the more I am preferring a check back.

I really don't play enough of them though to have a solid opinion.
