Two pairs on 4 to flush. Turn our hand to bluff?
Pretty early in FT Iron Man $30k Freeroll.
Table is playing pretty tight/passive. I've been really tight so far.
Pf is standard.
i think flop is standard as well. We're too deep for me to stack with TP 2nd kicker and he can raise with worse (including the FD)
Now the turn is where it gets interesting. Even though I improved my hand, I don't think it changed the situation. The only hands I improved upon are AK and K9.
His timing and bet size led me to belive he doesn't have the flush most of the time, so I seriously considered raising. However what hands that I beat call me? AdKx is the only hand I can think.
The river is even more interesting.
Should I turn my hand to a bluff? Do I need to ?

Villains bet on the turn is interesting. To me it could be a small probe to see if his pair is still good or he doesn't want to scare you off now he's made his flush. Raising here wouldn't have been a bad move, IMO. You'll find out where you are and might even chase out the small flush.
The check on the river suggests to me that he probably doesn't have Ad but he could still have a smaller flush. I think if you're going to bluff at it you need to make it a good sized bet. Given that there is ~2000 in the pot you'd probably be looking at pushing to get rid of the small flush.
I think I'm checking here.

Ugh, I think we're getting called by the [Jd] or [Td] too often here, but I'm not opposed to turning this hand into a bluff. Hard to see what diamond/diamonds he might have here, though.
Given our stack, I think we have to risk too much to get him to lay down a good diamond (having the K and Q out there makes this tougher) and to win what's in there.
Much as I hate it, I say check and hope he shows a weaker hand with no diamond.

I take it by asking the question, you feel there is a little more to this hand than meets the eye?
I can't see the reward out weighing the risk here.
IMO I don't think this is the right place to risk money tryng to learn a little more about this player.
I say check.
Besides, knowing he is sat two to your left he is always in the BB when you are on the button. I would also be quite interested in seeing their hand for next time. If you raise and they fold, you don’t get that chance. Of course, if you win the hand, it also goes to show you were playing strength and not trying to steal the blinds.

I would agree, given way hand played out I think if we bet we get looked up to often by 10xDiamond_CutteRx wrote:Ugh, I think we're getting called by the [Jd] or [Td] too often here, but I'm not opposed to turning this hand into a bluff. Hard to see what diamond/diamonds he might have here, though.
