UltimateBet.com Q's
Well, I play at UB, and I recently just lost my bankroll ($35, got it up to $61 before I crashed...still mad at myself for not quitting when I was $26 ahead), but I have a fair amount of UltimatePoints. I have decided not to deposit any more money for a looong time, I'm hoping to get some through freerolls or UltimatePoint tourneys. Can anyone tell me what the best way to get real money through fake money is at UB? (I know it's a tall task).
Thanks a lot!

there are lots of freeroll tourneys that pay cash, or you could use your points to buy in to a cash tourney. the play in freerolls is VERY poor. the last 2 i have played in i finished 8th (had to go to work) and qualified for the next level of freeroll.... a TEC freeroll for the top 50. could be easy to win some jingle.

If u want points but don't wanna play for real $$$ (which gets u points, I'm not going mad here), ur best bet is to write off a few evenings and play on 3 monkey money tables at once. For every hour at monkey tables u get 1 UB point so with 3 (the max) open at once u get 3. Buy-ins start at 25 so u r looking at 9 hrs just for that and then 17hrs to get 50 points. Personally, I'd get the $$$ deposited cos u can sure get sick of poker if u play too much monkey

Well, I didn't get credit for any of my February play time at the monkey tables. I emailed them but haven't heard back. I had about 120 points coming to me, but my account still says 0. Oh well, probably some fine print I'm missing. It's frustrating because I want to play the ultimate points because the games will be better. Monkey games are extremely boring to me and real money is illegal in Ontario. What to do.

Well, it's sad to say, but you won't be able to play any UltimatePoint tables with less than 500 (that's the minimum buy-in), but you can play the really low tourneys (there's 25, 50, 75, 100), or Sit and Go 100 point tourneys.
But anyway, if you send in real money, no one will be the wiser, I, in fact, am underage, but as long as the casino is getting my $$$, they don't seem to care :D

So in other words, if I play at a game for an hour, even if I don't play, I will get 1 UB point for that hour? OR do I actually have to play? ::Devious plan::
Hmmm.... Well, I play about 2 hours a day, and try to sign up for the earlier planned tourneys, so I guess I could play during that....
Are there quicker ways, like placing in a freemoney tournament?

This is a pretty gray area. . . still kind of undecided . . . .

Well, UB is located on a reserve in Quebec I believe. So regardless, I'm in Canada. The provinces of Canada regulate gambling individually and each has different (but mostly similar) interpretations. Running an online casino is definitely illegal in Canada, but I think most get around that by using the reserves. Betting at these casinos is a grey area. It basically goes that it is illegal in Canada to run a common betting house and online casinos fall under this law because they aren't regulated. It is also illegal to be caught in a common betting house. So, people who are against online gambling say betting real money at an online casino is the same as being caught in a common betting house. People who are for it say this law doesn't apply. It's a heavily biased debate it seems and I haven't found a case of someone being prosecuted for gambling online in Ontario. That being said, I think they could go after you with the current laws if they really wanted to. I'm not saying they would win, but they could definitely try. I'd compare it to music downloading at this point. It's technically illegal, but most net users do it and are only being prosecuted in civil actions because of copyright laws, which doesn't apply to online gambling.
They won't regulate it in Canada for mainly the same reasons they won't regulate it in the US: problem gambling, underage gamblers, and gamblers from foreign nations where it is illegal. If they had 100% solutions to all of these then it would probably become legal. Of course, the internet makes that virtually impossible.
