I love these chips TenPercenter, If i didnt just buy a set of desert sands I would be in on this for sure. I may still come in on it if i grind some extra money out of the tables. Well done on the design.
Also I would like to disagree with all the people on 2+2 that want to change the 1 dollar chip to blue. I say leave it white. I think it would be better if you kept them usual casino colours.

assuming you got the desert sands chips on the NJ sale a couple of weeks ago: sell those bitches! you'll make money off the bat, i imagine, and then you'll have yourself coin for your first 225 pharaohs!
at that point, you're only a hop, skip and a jump from 1000, right?

Here's an argument I haven't seen for making the $0.25 white and the $1 blue: what about all us poor JB slobs who may want to add-on to our JB set with some Pharaoh's Club? Like, I was thinking I would love to get some $0.25 chips (since they aren't even available in JBs), but, whoops, it's the same color as my JB $1 chips!! Yeah, I know I could get the white in non-denom and use it for $0.25, but then it's just not the same as a denom chip. Also, adding Pharaoh's $1s to JB $1s would get confusing, too.

Yep, the perils of having ONLY seven colors to choose from.
You'd have the same problem if we switched the 25¢ to white: they'd clash with the 50¢ JB's.

Amazing chips, but I can't commit until I know if there will be prohibitive costs for us Canadian peeps :x
I don't foresee this being a problem at all. We'll know more once we have a vendor on board with us.

Not me, I didn't buy any $0.50 chips, and I don't think many other people did, either--$0.25 is a much more useful denom, a fact which you obviously are already aware of. So make us our $0.25 white chips already, Mr. High-End-Egyptian-Themed-Poker-Chip-Maker-Guy!TenPercenter wrote:R Deckard wrote:Here's an argument I haven't seen for making the $0.25 white and the $1 blue: what about all us poor JB slobs who may want to add-on to our JB set with some Pharaoh's Club? Man, there's still ONE, SMALL, CHANCE that this might happen.
If they allow shaped inlays (see below), then the round should be the lowest denom, right? And it's be stupid to put a shaped inlay on a white chips since you can't see it. So I'd be forced to make the white chip the 25¢, with a round inlay.

Ok, now that I've puckered up... I should have saved the love for hearing positive news of shaped inlays. As for the designs, they don't seem to have as good a balance as the denoms. I think the symbols at the bottom need a bit more weight. Maybe a wider line, or maybe changing them to black line would add a bit of weight to them, and balance the chip better.
With the denoms, the denomination has enough weight to it to balance the color graphic on the top, and focus attention at the middle "Pharaoh's". By comparison, the non-denom versions seem a bit light on the bottom. To me, this is most noticeable on the green and black non-denom chips.
I agree with this on some of the non-denoms. The $5 looks the best I think in terms of weighted balance. Since there is a more horizontal piece at the bottom (the "panther") it adds weight to the bottom that is otherwise there due to a heavy, bolded number. Since not all the non-denom pieces can be horizontal like the piece on the $5-blank perhaps bolding the lines of the non-denom art or even adding a dot to either side of the piece to "frame" it. Say like this:
