using programs to calculate odds
There many programs out there to calculate the odds etc. But someone told me once that poker sites don't like them and can ban you when using them? Is it true that party poker take a screenshot of you to make sure that you are not using them?

I think that person was talking about programs that take screenshots of your desktop and using advanced AI tell you to raise/check/fold based on other players' playing habits and your odds....some of them even click the buttons for you....partypoker and many other sites check for those programs specifically, and your money could be confiscated....check the legal terms for the poker stie you play at...
however, smaller programs like our Pre-Flop Calculator and our Pot Odds Calculator are fine...you don't have anything to worry about if you're just using little calculators like these...basically, if you're not sure if it's okay, then you're probably fine...the people who use the programs that make your play risky know that they are at risk of losing their bankrolls....

odds programs
Poker rooms don't like odds calculators for three reasons:
1 they take to long to calculate.
2 they could interfere with the poker client, making it unstable.
3 someone could plant a trojan or backdoor in such a program and rob you blind.
They provide little or no advantage to the player.
