Wanna be's should relax!!

First let me spend a minute giving a little history. I have played poker for many years and love the game. I have only played online for about the last month. I love playing online, although I have found it to be a quit different game from a live one.

I have since started to figure out how to play the player online and have started to do ok. (It did cost me little money to figure this online game out though) I normally start out in the $.25 - $.50 room and when I feel warmed up and have got my "ONLINE GAME FACE ON " I move up to the $.50 -$1.00 tables. (My low limit if driven by finaces not fear of loosing big bank) I guess I should also mention I play Limit hold-em most of the time and have a great time in the NL tourneys

Now I have found that it is very consistantly a game of "NO FOLD-EM" in these lower limit games. This is a very well known fact and in any discusion board, newsletter or article I have read they all say this. I have found that more times than not this works to my advantage as long as I play fairly tight and pay close attention to the game.

Now my beef with this is you get these people in the room who start to throw a fit and get all mouthy on the chat about these people who call them all the way to the river and beat them with some miracle card in a hand they should have trown away in the first place. (I admit it can be frustrating when you get taken for a nice chunk of change on a hand that in all rights should have won)

I guess what I am saying is it's common knowledge that the rooms are like this. Everyone who has ever played poker has had more than their fare share of bad beats. I have been known to play some crap hands at first just so people will get the wrong impression of me at the table and then I can go for some big pots. (Sorry I tend to get off on other subjects in the middle of making my point) Anyway who do these people think they are Hellmuth, Chan, Brunson. They are playing in the low limit room just like the rest of us. They know what it's all about.

I play poker for the pure enjoyment of the game. Winning money is just the side bonus for me. I am a very social person and love to have a good time I don't like it when these people get all FIRED UP and begin name calling etc... I just want to yell back "WE ARE AT THE LOW LIMIT TABLE RELAX AND ENJOY"

Well, I feel better now that I have had the chance to vent a little. Just remember If your not having a good time then you should reconsider even playing. We play the game because we want to put our skills against another person and have a great time throwing cards.
