weak top pair vs. many opponents
I'm in a low limit game, with 9
8
in the big blind. Everyone limps, I call, BB checks. The flop is:
8
7
3
I consider betting, but then I think if it checks around to someone in late position, I can check-raise and limit the field. UTG bets and gets 5 calls. A raise will not eliminate anyone, but I think that with all these callers, I'm getting 6:1 if I raise for value. I decide against it and just call.
The turn is:
Q
UTG bets again, and gets 1 caller. A raise won't eliminate anyone, and I'm not sure I have the best hand, but I am getting better than 10 to 1, so I call.
The river is K
UTG bets again, The other player raises, I fold. UTG shows A7o, the other player shows K6s.
Did I make any mistakes?

If you've played low limit hold'em you've been here way too many times to count. It seems like someone(s) will call with only uppers, or often only one upper. There's nothing you can do to get these guys to fold. It's still important to bet to ensure that you get paid in full when they don't hit.
