Should I have gone for it on the first hand or was I right to fold?

With 2 clubs on the flop and your horrible kicker you made the right decision (tho you might have wanted to chuck that hand away pre-flop). Chances were you were way behind before that 7 fell and there's no reason to go out the first hand in a tournament with J-7 off.

I would have folded preflop, but after flopping the top pair, a 20 bet calls out for a raise (70?)to see if they are stealing, or on a draw.

If he calls, then fires again (170) after the str8 draw hits, I am outta there.

I ended up busting out on the same table with AKs versus AJ and KJ. KJ hit the straight.
