What does 'wrap' mean?

Postby HalfSugar » Sun Apr 20, 2008 7:23 pm GMT

I have been watching the 2007 HORSE tourney on PokerTube and occasionally the term 'wrap' comes up (it does in the Rounders 2 script too ;)). Could someone explain to me exactly what it means please? I know it is something to do with having cards to a straight but that is all

A wrap is when you have a type of straight draw in omaha.

For example if you held QJ9K And the flop comes T8* a 7 , 9, J or Q gives you a straight. You have the straight draw wrapped around.

What crack said. Basically, it is a straight draw with more than 8 outs. Maybe it should be called a straight draw with roid rage.
