What's with the ED commercials?

I've noticed that every other commercial on a poker TV program is for an erectile dysfunction remedy. I'm a professor in a business school and my buddies in the Marketing Department, when they're sober, say that advertisers have a pretty good handle on the demographics of who is watching various shows. So with half the ads featuring Internet poker sites (now there's a shocker) and half featuring ED products, what does that say about us?????

So, pony up and answer the poll. Are these guys right or just speculating? For God's sake don't post a response with your condition.

they must think the majorty are older males.

the other ad i see alot is the Blank Enlargment Ad

The one I remember most is a Levitra ad from the WSOP a couple years ago, and this woman spouting off lines like, "For my man, it gives him the ... response ... he's looking for. For him? It's only Levitra."

The reason why it sticks with me so, is that I distinctly remember feeling sorry for whoever may have been married to that domineering bitch.

I think the demographic they're looking for is males. Particularly inactive males (lack of excercise increases chances of the onset of diabetes). Poker television isn't prime-time television, usually, so the ad spots are pretty cheap. And men make up the majority of viewers, I'm sure. Can you imagine an ED commercial airing during a daytime soap? It'd be a waste of money to buy those spots. I'm sure ED commercials will start showing up on the Spike network once they have more money to advertise.

Spike tv is the worst for health ads, every 2 seconds there talking about aids and Prostrate

...oh this post kills me. I noticed all those ads. My wife loves them...she says can you imagine going into the hospital with a tent pole in your pants and saying...I got a problem... .

When/if the day ever comes where I need something for ED...I am going to get a script for a bottle a day and chase all the hawt babes....just call me Sir Lancealot...
