What's with the minraising?
Ever notice how a lot of weak online players put these minbets in postflop. What's that supposed to do? If I have ANY kind of a draw or pair I'm staying in. Lots of freecards are to be had and 90% of the time it means they made top pair, but aren't happy about their kicker.

I often make a small bet on flop in early position if I have 4 to a flush or open end straight to give me pot odds to call if there is a raise (or a bet on turn)
I might also take the pot right now...
I also might do it when I flop a very good hand so I can collect a bit more before hammering them on turn

yea, im sitting in a table, and theres a bunch of min raises pre flop and after the flop all the time. im like huh? this is weak. hahha..but yesterday i did it myself, i was in the bb with J 2 and the flop came out J 3 4. since i was in early position so i checked cuz my kicker aint so good. its checked to the button, where then he made a bet half of the size of the pot, so i was like "is he just betting cuz everyone checked it to him." so i was like i'll find out, min raise, idiot folded.
but besides that i dont do that myself. i kinda like it when people min raise pre flop cuz if i have a low pocket pair or suited connectors, im getting great odds to call.

Hmmm...maybe you flop a set and just check, someone else fires a pot size bet, so you ponder for a while and then call. On the turn you hit your boat, so you bet min as if you just paired up, so someone else senses weakness and goes all in and you've got 'em.
On the other hand, you flop a set and fire a pot size bet and everyone folds.
Different approaches for different situations. Sometimes a player is weak, sometimes he is strong. You have to take into account everything you know about him. If he really is a pussy than take him to the cleaners.

i sometimes do it in early or late position. Early to try to see cheap cards, often I will just get called and can try to get my str8 or flush where if I check they might bet pot w/ a top pair. Late if I have nothing-often you can take down a pot without risking much.
