I play at UltimateBet.com (commonly referred to as UB). It seems like a prompt deposit, many games open, and backing of players like Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke. The layout is real nice, as is the table graphics (No matter where you are, view is from your chair). However, one major complaint is that there is no graphic for how many chips you have, or a place to put a picture. Just the name and the chip count.

Hi,
I started with PokerStars, played it for 3,5 months
Pro's :
- it's stable
- graphically ok
- lots of freerolls
- low entrance fee tournaments ($1, $2, $3)
- Sit&Go's structure is good (1500 TC, blinds going up every 10 mins)
- microlimits (0.01/0.02, 0.05/0.10) to start
- the FPP's (Frequency Playing Points) that you receive by just playing on their site...I could order myself a book and received it in about 10 days time. Knowing I live in Belgium I find it a good performance...and it's been dedicated to me by Tom McEvoy moreover :) (yeah I know it's maybe some random PokerStars employee who wrote the text but let me live with my dream =) )
Con's :
- the players playing there are usually good, not many fishes
- Cant think of any other disadvantage but the one above is a major one (
I opened an account on PartyPoker 15 days ago
Pro's :
- most popular site on internet so...
- ... there are a lot of fishes and so...
- ... the games are usually (very) loose
Con's :
- as the site is very big there are sometimes server troubles
- limits start at 0.5/1
- Sit&Go's structure is not very good in my opinion (800 TC to start, blinds going up every 10 rounds)
- no very low entrance fee tournaments (starting at $5)
All in all :
I play only on PartyPoker lately (turning $50 into $700 in about 2 weeks playing 0.5/1 and 1/2 limit is a good enough reason to stick with that site while I turned $100 into $400 on PokerStars in 3,5 months)
Hope those informations are useful, other players may add more pro's and con's to these or even deny mine :)

KillerBOB, u truly are a first class moron. I PM'ed u yesterday about advertising here yet u do it again?! Do u think I am dumb enuff to not notice ur poor attempt at hiding ur advertising in a thread like this? Ur ass is mine now bitch 8)
Anyway, back to topic - I play at UB and without going into detail, I would say that the biggest reason to play is the speed! So many sites bore me rigid with their crappy slow software but UB is on the ball every time and I won't be changing I don't think.
[NB. In case ne1 thinks I have been overly harsh to KillerBOB, know that he has been advertising the site I have deleted the URL of above all over the forum and was delivered a clear warning about it. When u get a PM, the site tells as soon as u log in so there's no way he didn't know about it and I just can't tolerate it as most of u well know

I play at UB only. It is fast, the interface is very good, and it has a solid reputation/backing. I tried PartyPoker, but I don't like the interface. It's much slower and difficult to use. You can find games of all ranges on UB too. There are some very good players, but not in the play money (why would they be there anyway?)
The downside of UB I guess is that they don't have enough tournaments (at least freeroles which is what I'm into right now) that cater to North American timezones. You can apparently earn these ultimate points, but I have yet to see any, despite playing a lot.
It's all about the interface though. It's the best one and very fast. I haven't tried real money yet since I wasn't sure about its legality, but from what I have been reading I should be okay.

i have a question for all you money players on UB. Are the servers for money game more stable than the ones they use for Free Games??
The last few weeks the free game servers have been terrible. server hang ups all over the place...especially when multiple people loose and leave. Not to mention the free games section was down for over and hour a few weeks ago. and i can go on and on.
I dont mean any disrespect to UB, I'm just thinking about moving into the real money environment and am curious how stable that portion has been in the past few weeks.

earlier this week and some last week the real money tourneys that I've been in have had some issues... really bad lags and some hangs, but it always recovered for me...

I've also been having tech trouble with UB. I play at Absolute Poker and Tournament Network quite a bit . . . and I like them both . . .I liked UB a lot, but it's been unreliable for me lately . . . AP has a lot of satellite freerolls, if you just want to play tournaments for free . . . you have to usually place in two in a row to win money.

I play UB allmost every night for real $....well as real a micro-limits can be considered.
I too have seen some lag as of late, but never for very long.
Last night I was playing at a real table and decided to get into a play sit & go at same time. The free sit & go was totally hosed for a long while, but the real $ were running smoothly. I gave up and played a Ultimate Pts SNG instead.

Puck Junkie they reduced those play sit and gos to 4 tables and it has a terrible rotation system. I tried for an hour to get into one but never made it.
