Depends on max buy-in. Anytime you force a player to put in a higher % of their stack per round you force them to loosen up or risk getting blinded off.
ok you failed to answer my question but from wat i gather u guys would favour reducing the max buyin to induce action?
Okay let me put it this way, any modifications made that lower a players M(the number of rounds he can go before being blinded/ante'd off if he doesn't play) will increase a players need to gamble to maintain/increase his stack. This also would increase the luck factor because more often players would be getting it in and hoping to catch. The game would become more preflop big bet and lesson post flop play, the same effect that short stack players take advantage of.
Now that I think about it, lets leave it the way it is, or better yet, allow a more deepstack buy-in with a higher min buy-in.
