Whoa.
EDIT: king is right. I made two posts yesterday. The threads are still there, but both my posts are gone.

Re: whats with the ugliness
I’m not sure about the new skin.
It feels a little Vista’ish, i.e. change for change sake rather than improvement like moving the posters detail to the right.
Some bits look cleaner and more profession, e.g. the buttons and the reply page I’m now typing into
but the “posted in since you last visited” icons looks dull.

please don't let this be permanent or unchangable, I suspect I'll post a lot less then this happened on a previous board I liked : (

Re: whats with the ugliness
i think this is the raw version of the new phpBB forum code. It should be possible to re-skin/set theme to the old look or similar.
The only real change is avatar stuff on the right hand of the screen, which i just dont think works aesthetically as it is drummed into us from 3+ to read left to right and so just makes it slightly awkward. (i guess they did it to be "edgy" or something)

I’m guess not all of the records (forum posts) were successfully migrated to the new DB.

Re: whats with the ugliness
Chill guys, phpbb3 looks like this now - check out any up to date forum.
It's important to stay up to date from a security point of view so that you don't get cockends hacking the place using known exploits of older versions. We've been out of date for far too long as it is. You will get used to it...........

I figure we'll all probably get used to it in a few days. No one like change.
