Nice troll response. What I expect from you. No wonder this forum is so dead. Surprising as a mod how much negativity you post. That actually might be a reason for the inactivity of this board. In the time I have been posting here. I have seen multiple negative posts from you. Once in awhile they are somewhat justified most of the time you are just an arrogant troll. I guess no one taught you when you were little if you can't say something nice do not say anything at all.
Obviously AK is a better hand then KQ. The question was which do you prefer not which is better.
Many players have hands they prefer to play that are not even "strong" hands. One of my favorites is 22 I love that hand, It is not a good hand but I like it. I really dislike AK suited and I fold it pre flop quite often.
This is just a fun post in the GENERAL section. If you can not post something decent stay the hell out.
But if you stop and look at it from a improving stand point
AK suited there is 10 cards to give you a flush 6 more aces and kings 12 cards to give you a straight on the flop total 23 cards to improve .
KQ suited again 10 for a near nut flush 6 more K and Q 16 more to give you a straight
that is 26 cards to improve.
AK is a better hand I just prefer KQ. but please feel dumber for have reading this post as well
Edit going against a smaller pair KQ suited has a higher percentage to win then AK suited like 0.31% better if you don't believe me look it up

With all due respect Hillbilly, it wasn't the most intelligent question in the world, was it.

Yes actually it was miaowmiaowchowface actually understood the question.
My god how hard is it to understand. I figured everyone here is a poker player so should be smart enough to understand a simple question. I was not asking for advice I know which hands are better. It is a fair question in and of itself. We all have hands we like over other hands. Sometimes we prefer a hand that is weaker over one that is stronger.
Would it of made more sense if I had said Which hand you prefer 22 or 44 I prefer 22 obviously again 44 is better but I don' t like it. Maybe I should of just said what is your favorite hand to play, Then I guess you would all answer AA. I am so sorry you can't understand the difference between BETTER and PREFER.
Forgive me for just trying to have a little fun on a damn forum and liven the place up a little. IF everyone here is to serious to participate in a fun little thread. It is no wonder there is like 7 people that post here regularly .

You may want to re-read his reply. And then unbunch your panties.

Re: Which hand do you prefer
There has been more written about AK than any other starting hand. You may ask what this has to do with this post?

What a topic LOL!
A question to OP: If you raise pf and get re-raised, do you still prefer KQ over AK?

I think we all understand the question Hillbilly - we just can't believe any 'smart poker player' would prefer the worst hand of the two.Northern Hillbilly wrote:My god how hard is it to understand. I figured everyone here is a poker player so should be smart enough to understand a simple question.
Who would? - And why would they?Northern Hillbilly wrote:Sometimes we prefer a hand that is weaker over one that is stronger.
The question you are asking is statistical. This means if you played AK against KQ 100,000 times one hand would acually win more than the other. Any 'smart poker player' knows this and would always choose the better hand.
If you were to ask 'Which is the best football player' or 'who has the best policy on immigration', answers would vary as people would have their own interpretation of the question and therefore the knowledge, opinion, perceived image, past history and end targets could differ from one person to the next.
In another post you ask the question 'Whats your biggest weakness in poker?' This is an fabulous open ended question and one that everyone can give a different response to. In fact, I even learnt something about my own weaknesses by reading about someone elses. The only thing I've learnt from this post is that I want you sat at my table the next time I play poker.

Well, to say the truth, I actually basically also don't prefer hands, which are theoretically stronger, but actually harder to play. I can find a ton of (weaker) hands, which I prefer over A7 (оr, lets say, A2-A9). KQs surely belongs to this group.

I don't play the hands the same. OFC not If I suspect the player is re raising with middle pocket pair I do prefer KQ suited to AK. Though I won't pay much to play either hand. depending on the re raise I am apt to fold either hand just as quickly. I don't like coin flips unless it is late in a tourney and I am low stacked or big stack against a low stack. Either way I will take a coin flip then to either try and double up or take someone out

Doyle Brunson's favorite hand is 10-2
Daniel Negreanu claims 10-7 off suit as his favorite hand Though he says he wouldn't play it any differently.
There is two smart successful poker players who have shitty hands as their favorite. I am sure there is many more poker pros who are the same.

1.26% tie
"Big Slick"

AA vs KQ suited
"bullets"
82.13% win

Re: Which hand do you prefer
You didn't ask us what are favorite hands were - you asked us which one we'd prefer. Sure Brunson's favorite hand is 10-2 cause that's the hand that won him the WSOP twice. But that doesn't mean he would prefer it to AK or KQ.Northern Hillbilly wrote:Doyle Brunson's favorite hand is 10-2
