Which Hand would win...

Jack's hand -- Ah + 4d
Billy's hand -- 8c + 5h

comunity cards -- Qs + Jc + 10h + 9s + 8h

this scenario came up and i felt that billy should of won.

Please respond ASAP

pot would be split because the best 5 card hand is already on the board.

I guess I could have explained it better. Both players share the straight 8 to queen so the pair doesn't matter.

I had a similiar hand at card club on a $3/6 table-except I had pocket As, another had pocket ks and a 3rd had A 10. The straight came out as 6-10 w/ a seven on the river.

The pot had run to over $200 and I wasnt too happy about splitting it 3 ways.

Yeah that's pretty rough Dave, but splitting the pot is better than one of those other guys flipping over that J and raking it all. I can't tell you how many times I've had that happen to me.
