I only play for play money right now. I used to play partypoker but was getting frustrated with so many people who go all-in every single hand nomatter what.
Some guy here told me about truepoker and I like it a lot more. It feels much more realistic than partypoker. In partypoker you have an overhead view and your hole cards are always visible. In truepoker you have a first person view and your cards are only visible when you are looking at them.
It's really cool actually. Although they are dealt to you face up, once you perform an action or click on them you put them down on the table. Since they are face down on table now you can't see them anymore so if you need another look you have to click the cards again to bring them up so you can see them. The cool part is that just like in real life, everyone can see when you are looking at your cards or when they are on the table. If a flop with 3 reds comes up and everyone looks at their cards you can see this and it really gives you a lot of info on that player and their hand.
It's cool too because it's all animated so your guys hands actually pickup or put down your cards and so on, so it makes it feel much more authentic to real-life play. It seems to make the other people play better too. Unlike partypoker where you can pretty much bet your life on the fact that somebody always goes all-in on the first hand I think on truepoker I've maybe seen it once or twice. The players in general just seem to be of better quality and skill. You don't have nearly as many people who'll call any bet nomatter what their hand is. There are still a few of course but most players seem to be decent so the few idiots get knocked out real quick.
Are there any other sites that have similar first person view and manual-hand-viewing like truepoker does?
