Who gets the money?
Two of my friends have a poker dispute, and I thought I'd try and settle it here, hope that's ok!
Player A had $10 in chips.
Player B had $5 in chips.
Player C had $50 in chips.
They were both all-in, and both lost to Player C.
At the time, neither knew that Player A is awarded 2nd place, and Player B 3rd, as they were unsure of the ruling for such a situation. Player A believed it to be unfair, but didn't raise the dispute, until after he had gone home, and searched for the ruling on the mentioned situation. He found out that he actually finishes in 2nd, and then asked Player B for the other half of the 2nd place prize money. Player B is refusing to give back that other half, on the grounds that they 'left the table'. Player A argues that is unfair, as they didn't know the rule, and they hadn't 'officially' agreed to split 2nd place.
Player A thinks he deserves the entire second place prize.
Player B thinks he is entitled to keep his half.
Who is right? Player A, or B?

both
player b is right coz even if the didnt know the rule they agreed to split the money when they were there, late reclamations just dont apply imo
obv player a is also right, but if they werent sure on how it should be done he should have asked on the spot, once he agreed to split it should remain so, at least he knows for next time

I agree with Jernej.
If player A had made a deal with player B at the end of the game that they would find out what the rule was and they would both abide by it, that would be one thing.
But once they both leave the table with money in a way they both agreed upon, it's a done deal. Player A now knows the rule for the future.

Player A should have been awarded the entire 2nd place. But they did make an agreement to split it, regardless of whether they knew the rule or not. Caveat emptor, player A.
