who wins (again) ?

Postby mhj-wins » Wed Jun 20, 2007 2:13 am GMT

please, who wins ?

straight hands in a texas hold 'em game :

1)
board : K  , Q :club: , 10  , 9 :club: , 2 :spade:
player A : Q:diamond: , J:heart:
player B : J:spade: , 9:heart:
which gives the "same" straight hand K Q J 10 9
question : do the hands tie ?
(i would have thought player B wins the game because he brings higher cards)

2)
- board : A:spade: , J:heart: , 8:club: , 7:club: , 2:spade:
- player A : 10  , 9:heart:
- player B : 10 :diamond: , 9:diamond:
which brings the "same" straight hand : J 10 9 8 7, for both players
question : do the hands tie ? + will the players split the pot ? are hearts higher than diamonds ?

thanks in advance (i'm sure it was already questioned, but i did not find the right post...)

MrDarling is right, but remember that no suit is better than another - they are all equal.
