who wins in this situation

on the table was a straight from 3 to 7, so
345 6 7 first player had in hand Q,7 and the other had J,2..who wins?

It's the best 5 cards that win and they were all on the table.

Player holding 5-x. (let's call it 5J.) Best 5 card hand is three of a kind, fives. 555KJ.

on the board was a pair of aces, 2, 10, K.

I had a pocket pair of sixes, the other guy had a 9 and a jack.

Is there any scenario that a pair beats a 2 pair in Texas Hold’em.

i suppose maybe if the board is counterfitted.

Player A - KK
Player B - J6

Board - J6882

but technically both players have 2 pair, but dont think of hole cards, think in terms of 'best 5 cards avaliable'.
