who wins??
the flop, turn and river are as follows
7 diamonds, 8 hearts, 4 hearts, 5 spades, and 6 diamonds
there are 3 players in and this is what they all have:
1) jack hearts and 6 clubs
2)8 clubs and 5 clubs
3)5 hearts and 6 hearts
who wins?? the person with the jack because they have the highest card outside the straight or the person with the 8 and 5 because they have the two highest pair inside the straight??
please help!

so, if I'm right....
for example, 2 players have a 4
after the river there are 2 4's on the table, so both players have 3 of a kind...
Now, player one has an ace
player 2 has a 7, so player 1 wins?
other situation again with both 3 of a kind
player 1 has 9, player 2 has a 7 BUT on the table is a King
will the pot be divided then?

When creating examples it's best to list all the cards (I've expanded yours).
Board: 4:diamond: 4:heart: J:heart: T:spade: 9:club:
1) 4:club: A:club: Best Hand: 4:diamond: 4:heart: 4:club: A:club: J:heart:
2) 4:spade: 7:club: Best Hand: 4:diamond: 4:heart: 4:spade: J:heart: T:spade:
NB:The important thing to remember here is that if player 1's ace was replaced with an 8...they would split the pot. It's all about the best possible 5 card hand you can make with the 7 available cards.

We don't know, this is why we must have a full set of cards to work it out.
Board:444Kx (x is the unknown card).
If x is a Ten, Jack, Queen, King or Ace then yes it's a split pot.
If x is a 9, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 then player 1 wins.
If x is a 7 then player 2 wins.
