Why

Postby Ciso_B » Fri Sep 10, 2010 11:22 pm GMT

I need help.I've played so much the last 5 weeks and ive not done anything, not a top 3, not a little respite , nothing.I've had so many top 30s its so ridicolous, no, internet poker isnt rigged, but my god, this has to be the worst run ive ever endured in all my 5 years of playing.

I've just busted the 11r in 22nd, and earlier finished a micro mtt, only $3.5k for first, and finished similar place in that , out of 4500 runners. 2 times within hours of each of making the top 1% of a tournament and not final tabled either, not made any money really in either. In fact, despite going this far in 2 tourneys, im down for the night, cos of hte Wcoops.
Its not good for my health playing mtts all the time, I still cant beleive I actually lost on pokerstars for 2009, to me, its absurd.Im gonna have to consider playing tournament poker, despite all the atrocious players.

Check this out :

So fkin disgusting, the fashion of losing. I turn nut flush just to lose on river anyway. wtf is that. Meanwhile I get needled constantly by dickheads in irc and have to see people like kingetje run like usain bolt.
Another month like the one ive just had and im prolly done tbh. f*ck a game that can treat you like this.

According MTT result thread, you have won about 6.5K $ during the July just from the prizes you have mentioned there. Do you really have the reason to be so unsatisfied?
I understand that to be profitable on tourneys, you have to final table often enough, because the majority of the prize pool is there, but that somehow can't happen too often even though you might be the best tournament player of the world. How many coinflips in a row you have to win in average to make it to FT or top 3? If only 5, the odds are about 1:32...

Nah im serious geno, time will tell.

Just played ages for pittance, 2500 runners and i bust 17th, standard rly, final hand was alot of fun... i make top 2 and get runnered, wudda had to make huge laydown on river and wudda been left with ss, he has nuts obv. MBN to bluff off with qj then runner runner nuts. Was just saying in irc how ridicolous my form on stars is, since jan 2009, ive had $54.9k in mtt cashes, but biggest cash 2.8k lol.How pathetic is that? Epitimises someone who goes deep and never ever ever wins.God i wish i was a lucky fish.

..............and hey presto - two second places totalling $2,600 in prize money in one day.

May be there is some psychology going on here? No decent pay outs for a while and you start to get concerned. Things niggle in your mind and you start to doubt your ability. Compare that with 'Mr Will give it another month, don't really care too much, i'll give it a few tourneys to confirm what i'm thinking' and what happens?

May be the issue isn't the way you play poker, may be it's the way you judge your success?
