Writing a book.
I write a bit...Maybe some of u have read a couple of poems I've stuck up on the forum.....
I'm not saying I'm any good or anything but I try....
Anyhow, I've started writing a book concerning texas hold em. Some of the scenes in it will be set in an online poker forum. I'd like to use this forum as the "setting" for these scenes. I'm not sure if this is allowed or not so maybe 1 of the mods could reply here to let me know.
The book I'm writing is completely fictional. I don't think I'm qualified to teach anyone anything about this game. That said, some of what I'm writing IS to do with "how to play a hand" etc..
Anyway, apart from asking the mods if I can set a scene or 2 here, I also wanted to know if anyone on the forum would mind if I used them as a "character" in the book.
Obviously I would only "use them" with their permission.
Thanks in advance, SwArM-Z

Lol.
Not many replies to this. Guess I'll just create a "fictional" forum of my own.
You will be appearing in it, tame_deuces. I think I have just the roll for you. You won't be a fish, though. :D
If I ever finish it and should it make a million I'll send u a cheque, m8.

I’m kind of confused, is this a Tron style story? Because that would be cool
Seriously though what do you need us for? Character names, personality examples, general ideas?

Ok, so far the following will appear......tame_deuces, Miss_J, Loonbat, supafrey, suitedaces84, General Sal and Fat Tony.
Not sure if Muck actually wants to appear, but he can if he wants.
To answer his question, no this is not a Tron style story, its "real life".
Basically some of the scenes need to be set in an online forum (for reasons to do with the story). Some other scenes will be set in online poker rooms. Some of the characters in these scenes will be the "main characters" in the story.
But obviously I need a load of other online characters aswell. Thats why I thought I'd ask u lot if u would like to appear.
Lastly, on the "ideas" question, obviously I have the main story line worked out. However, I haven't worked out every scene by any means. So yes, I would still be open to any ideas for a poker scene.
