WSOP Steps

Postby xDiamond_CutteRx » Sat Apr 05, 2008 1:55 am GMT

Who is playing them, and how good of a value do you think they are?

I am probably thinking about making a run at these next week. I would probably pocket the first 10 grand if I somehow made it, but if I was lucky enough to win a second I would consider playing.

Its all shootout full table deals. The first step you enter is like 7.50$ i think, if you win that table you can enter into step 2 which is like 27$. Each stepis more expensive but you have to beat the entire table to move on.

Step 1 - 7.50$
Step 2 - 27$
Step 3 - 82$
Step 4 - 215$
Step 5 - 700$
Step 6 - 2100$

If gives all players a realistic shot at actually winning a seat at the WSOP. Of course starting at step 1 can be every difficult but still is very managable. If you gets to lets say step 3 and you dont win but get 2nd, no worries it actually lets you stay at step 3 and give it another shot. I thinks its really neat and wish they did step all the time for just cash tournies.

This is all on Poker Stars by the way

Not sure about taking cash for the tickets, but if you can, I think you get W$, which still trade at over 95% if I'm not mistaken.

just met someone who won a ticket.
He claims the first few turbo steps are the hardest so its better to buyin direct to step 3 or 4.

Sure you can exchange the ticket to cash, but if you don't you get more out of it. travel expenses, hotels + bonus money every time you make a feature table.
