Madsen went on a tear for his first WSOP in 2006, winning two bracelets and making four final tables in different events. He fine-tuned his poker game at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California, where the minimum age to play is 18. He became the 2006 World Series of Poker Player of the Year. Shortly after his amazing WSOP run, he signed on with Full Tilt.
