Sometimes referred to as the "Grand Old Man", Johnny Moss was an important figurehead in the history of poker. He won the first ever World Series of Poker through a vote of his peers, and went on to win two more main events in 1971 & 1974, tying him with only Stu Ungar for the most main event wins. He played a legendary game with Nick "The Greek" Dandalos for five months in 1949 where Johnny ended up winning around $4 million dollars. Johnny was a charter inductee into the Poker Hall of Fame. He passed away on December 16th, 1995.
