On a trip to Vegas in 1985, Men happened into a poker room and lost all his money. Five years later he went pro. He was named Player of the Year in 1997 and Cardplayer's most successful tournament player in '01 and '03. He is known for being a great player and a great teacher of poker. He has a chapter in Kaplan's "Aces and Kings" devoted to him.
