Stu Ungar's ProfileFull Name: Stuart Errol UngarDate of Birth: September 8th, 1953 |
Stu Ungar was considered to have the greatest poker mind in history. Stuey was the only player to win the WSOP main event three times (Johnny Moss has three bracelets, but won one on a peer-vote). It is believed Stu had a photographic memory and it is unquestionable the he was a genius. With all his gifts though, Stu had problems with gambling and, in particular, drugs, which led to his death on November 22, 1998. Stuey was also probably the best gin rummy player ever to live. A movie of Stu Ungar's life, "High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story" came out in 2003.
